Now you can have warm, fresh bread at your fingertips… just let your bread machine do the work for you and enjoy! Please note: this recipe was developed before we created our Bread Mix, which is preferred for making a loaf of bread.

Ingredients
    • ¾ cup very warm water
    • 2 tbsp oil
    • 2 eggs, beaten
    • 1 TBSP honey or white sugar
    • 3 cups Pamela's Baking & Pancake Mix
    • 2 pkg instant yeast (4-1/2 tsp)
    • ¼ tsp salt
Directions

    Place all liquid ingredients into bread machine, then add dry ingredients. Turn on machine using white bread setting. This recipe makes a 1½ pound loaf. Use a serrated knife to cut slices or freeze loaf first and then slice.

    Try adding sesame seeds, poppy seeds or sunflower seeds to dough while mixing, or add ½ cup raisins and 1 teaspoon cinnamon.

    This bread makes fantastic grilled sandwiches, cinnamon toast, and french toast.

This came out wonderfully in my Cuisinart bread maker. It's not listed here but the best results for me seem to be to set the Cuisinart to White Bread, medium crust. (Setting 1 medium)

This did not work at all. I followed the directions exactly and the result was an inedible, hard, burned, lump. I'm sad I wasted time and ingredients.

Can I skip the yeast and use something else for it with this recipe? I am yeast sensitve but could only find the baking & pancake mix local to try

I have tried this recipe 3 times, and the bread deflates every time. Please promote your gluten free BREAD mix to major grocery stores. I will ask my Kroger and HEB to carry it. I've used the gluten free BREAD mix in my machine in the past and it came out GREAT, but this Baking and Pancake mix is not working. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

I love this bread. It has been so long sense I had bread I was in heaven turned out amazing. I have tried so many different recipes, a friend gave me a bag of this flour I could not find it in any stores near me. I would have given it a 5 star but the price of the flour keeps me from enjoying it often.

Can applesauce and baking soda be substituted for the eggs? If so, what would the measurements be?

I tried twice with this recipe with the regular white setting and then with the gluten free. The white setting didn't rise after the 2nd punching down, and the GF looked good up until the last part and it suddenly deflated. Both not pleasant to eat.

      Hi Elisabeth, You can use any oil with a mild flavor - canola oil, sunflower oil - or olive oil if you like more flavor.
