Bread made in Machine (made with Baking & Pancake Mix)
Print Recipe

Gluten-Free Soy-Free Peanut-Free Corn-Free

Now you can have warm, fresh bread at your fingertips… just let your bread machine do the work for you and enjoy! Please note: this recipe was developed before we created our Bread Mix, which is preferred for making a loaf of bread.

Ingredients
    • ¾ cup very warm water
    • 2 tbsp oil
    • 2 eggs, beaten
    • 1 TBSP honey or white sugar
    • 3 cups Pamela's Baking & Pancake Mix
    • 2 pkg instant yeast (4-1/2 tsp)
    • ¼ tsp salt
Directions

Place all liquid ingredients into bread machine, then add dry ingredients. Turn on machine using white bread setting. This recipe makes a 1½ pound loaf. Use a serrated knife to cut slices or freeze loaf first and then slice.

Try adding sesame seeds, poppy seeds or sunflower seeds to dough while mixing, or add ½ cup raisins and 1 teaspoon cinnamon.

This bread makes fantastic grilled sandwiches, cinnamon toast, and french toast.

This recipe says to use the white bread setting on a bread machine. I have a Cuisinart bread machine with a gluten free setting. Which setting is the best to use?

    • I used the gluten free setting on my cuisinart today. It cooked but did sink a little. However I don't know if that was because of the setting I used or because something else was off...I know my eggs weren't room temp and I was lazy with leveling things off. Will try again

Hi,

i am currently in the process of making your basic bread recipe using your baking and pancake mix in my bread machine. i am curious to know if the batter should be wet and whether or not i should try to remove the paddle at the designated time? Every Gluten-Free loaf i have ever attempted in my Cuisinart has been a disaster! while being very tenacious, I refuse to give up! Wish me luck..

    • HI Julie - The batter will be like a thick quick bread batter. You will want to leave the paddle in during baking and remove when you remove the bread from the pan. By Cuisinart, I assume you mean a Cuisinart bread maker? If you follow the directions and setting recommendations above it should turn out beautifully. As this bread tends to crumble a little more, in the future you may wish to try our Bread mix - it is simple and delicious right from the bread machine! Denise, Customer Service

Can I halve this? or will it not come out?

    • Jane – We recommend using the entire batch. You can always slice and freeze it for easy servings.
