I found this flour at Grocery outlet, I love how good the pancakes are, there fluffy and they taste really good..

I rarely make pie. My pies are usually, not so good... Yesterday I was in a coconut pie mood. Didn't have any refrigerated pie crust. I decided to try something new. I found this recipe. O. M. Goodness! It was perfect! Pies are going to be another one of my specialties. Thank you!

I use this mix for a spinach quiche using savory method without sugar. Then I used for a blueberry pie with sugar and used coconut oil. Everyone raved about the almond flavoring in the crust (due to almond flour). I have had several requests for the recipe!
Note that when I rolled the crust out, it was very crumbly putting into the pie plate. However,
oken areas were easy to press into place and baked just fine.

Following the recipe I turned out a beautiful crust but I was making a pumpkin pie and followed the directions in baking the pie which is directed in the recipe. Well don't follow that direction. Pumpkin Pie recipes want you to start pie out at 425 for 15 minutes and then turn oven down to 350 until pumpkin is cooked. Well 425 was way too hot & crust burned before the 15 minutes was up. Ruined the whole pie!

Hi, I just made my first pie ever and I am new to Pamela's product. I followed recipe and made 2 batches so I can make a double crusted pie. I took Mary Dorchester advice and baked on 325 for 50 minutes. It looks really good, tastes good, not too sweet but the texture is grainy. I am thinking it's the oil in the recipe that caused the bite to feel grainy and I added just a tad bit more water than the recipe... I was wondering if I could use applesauce in place of oil?

You might try that, but never add too much water, because if it gets sticky, it will get rubbery. If there is not enough water, it will be too dry and will fall apart.Reply
