Artisan Bread with Nut Flour Blend
Print Recipe

Gluten-Free Dairy-Free Soy-Free Peanut-Free Corn-Free

This bread has a satisfying nutty taste and texture.

Ingredients
Directions

Proof yeast by sprinkling yeast on top of warm water (100°). Whisk dry ingredients in bowl of stand mixer. Mix together honey, eggs and oil. Make a well and add the egg mixture, and yeast with water. Mix on low until flour is moistened. Mix on high just until totally mixed, less than a minute.

Scoop into pan sprayed with non-stick spray and fit with a parchment collar so it does not come over the sides when baking. Dome top with oil and a spatula and cut a couple of small slits in the top to prevent uneven splitting while baking.

Drape with plastic wrap and let rise to double its size in warm draft-free spot. Preheat oven to 350°. Bake 60 to 70 minutes until light feeling and nicely browned.

Hello! Do we have to use the nut flour blend? Can I possibly use the baking & pancake mix or use all artisan blend? Thanks!

Hi Karina,
We have bread recipes that use just our All-Purpose Flour Artisan Blend. You can use the filters in the left column of the Recipes page to narrow it down. This particular recipe was formulated to use both.

    • Hi Hilda, We have not tried this recipe in a bread maker. We will do that and post the results here when we do.

Hello Hilda, We tried it and it works in a bread maker. Bake on white bread setting with dark crust as it’s a a heavier bread and needs the extra time or temperature. You can add all liquids and the yeast packet into the bread maker pan first (no need to proof the yeast first). Combine the dry ingredients in a bowl and mixed together (All-Purpose Flour, Nut Flour Blend and salt). After the liquids are mixed up in the breadmaker, add the dry ingredients. Allow the mixture to combine and scrape down the sides to make sure all the dry ingredients get incorporated -- this is an important step. The mixture will be thick. Don’t be tempted to add more liquid unless your machine is struggling due to heavy measuring. Then close the lid and walk away!
